EMEA's prime orbital location for TV channels
135
million homes receive TV channels broadcast via HOTBIRD satellites
HOTBIRD 13C is part of Eutelsat's 13 degrees East neighbourhood of three high-power satellites serving Europe, North Africa and the Middle-East. This flagship position broadcasts over 1000 television channels to over 135 million homes and is the Europe's prime orbital location for channels broadcast.
The HOTBIRD video neighbourhood hosts 10 premium platforms, over 600 pay-TV channels, 400 free-to-air channels and over 200 HDTV channels.
HOTBIRD 13C helps further advance the development of digital and HDTV. DTH reception in the beam centre is possible with antennae smaller than 70 cm, and with slightly larger antennas throughout Europe, North Africa and as far East as Moscow and Dubai. The satellite also delivers channels to cable and DTT networks, and the add-on TV coverage needed for triple-play offers.
